Pathways into Womanhood

The experience for me was truly amazing.  Throughout the week I really let go and felt comfortable talking to anyone.  Without your awesome leaders I wouldn’t have opened up or had the courage to share as much.  You made me feel like family straight away.  Thank you for this week.  It is something I will never forget.  I really really would like to come back as a young leader and would love to bring my daughter here to share this experience when I have one.

Pathways to Manhood

A life-changing experience that brought together a diverse group of men and boys. We arrived with anticipation of what was to come, as individuals a little wary of what was in store. We departed as good friends gained from trust, sharing, laughter and honesty. Our boys grew 10 feet tall and left not as boys but confident young men. An amazing week facilitated by amazing people – I loved it!

I had an opportunity to tell Ryan that I not only love him – but also appreciate and respect him and detail the many reasons why.  We mostly played fun interactive games, camped, ate lovely food, talked, and sat around fire at night – there were times that I was out of my comfort zone, but that was a god thing.  The staff was fantastic for many reasons – the reasons I will highlight are that they were professional, competent, relaxed, and fun.

Men’s Leadership Training

I have been a leader within my chosen profession for a number of years now, but found that I have gained so many extra benefits from this training that will allow me to be a better leader within my personal life as well.

Pathways into Womanhood

Lifelong bonds were formed.  Beautiful, caring, understanding leaders and peers.  It is amazing that in such a short amount of time with complete strangers how much you can bond and change and need them in your life and feel as if the world would end if you didn’t talk even though you didn’t know they existed five days ago.

Pathways to Manhood

The PTM camp looked like a good chance to help me catch up with my son, but the Rite of Passage he went through was much, much more than that.  The Pathways team allowed my son to see and hear stories of life which impacted him profoundly.

The experiences and challenges he faced helped his confidence and maturity grow visibly over the four days.  I have no doubt that the boy I took to camp came back a young man.  We will always be grateful to Pathways and the other men and young men who took the journey with us.

YoungSTARS

A safe environment was created to share 21 other father’s (and son’s) thoughts, challenges, relationships…. Etc. It was interesting to hear that despite so many different families (e.g. job, geography, family size, single parent…..) many issues are common to all.

Women’s Leadership Training

The firsthand experience of women supporting, understanding, sharing with and respecting other women in such a proud, positive and peaceful way is just the antidote to society frequently undermining messages of female competitiveness, lack of esteem and body image issues so current in the media.  This work is effective and it transforms lives. We, the mothers and leaders, can make a positive difference to our families, friends, community and culture.

- Melissa, Sydney

Pathways into Womanhood

My experience was great.  I made so many friends with not only the young women but the women and the camp leaders as well.  The activities that we did were all either fun or educational but they all helped us grow from girls into the young women that we are now.

- Hannah (Young Woman)

Pathways to Manhood

A must for every dad and mum to be involved in.  Without a double the most challenging and rewarding experience of my life!  My relationship with my young man is already on a different level.  This should be compulsory for all dads!

How often do you actually take the time to reflect on the relationship you want to have with your son…. This is the program that makes you think about it.

Men’s Leadership Training

The Leadership Training program I spent with a group of men I had not met before was inspiring. The experiences will be life changing and I am most appreciative of the gentle but positive way in which the “life lessons” were delivered.  Being a father and also a grandparent, I will be recommending the program to all the males in my family and my circle of friends.  Also, I strongly recommend any male to consider doing the Leadership training course.

This camp was an amazing experience. I feel very privileged that I could be a part of it and I will always value the experience. The stories and laughs will stay with me forever.

- Jann (Young Woman)

Pathways to Manhood

This was a rare opportunity for me to be surrounded by a supportive and diverse community of men.  Each story, face and experience weaving a rich tapestry of the healthy masculine for my son to witness with other boys in his age group.  Thank you.

The leaders brought a contemplative pace to the workings of the camp.  Very much appreciated.  The dawning of the realisation was a light bulb moment.  It’s Pathways to Manhood but it’s not solely the boys Pathways.  There is much for the fathers to learn and to keep learning.

- Tim (Father)

Pathways to Manhood

One of the most transformational, wonderful adventures we have ever had as father and son.  Our relationship, understanding of each other and respect for each other has flourished.

- Michael (Father)

Women’s Leadership Training

The women’s leadership camp was a powerful journey to deepening my ability to lead authentically.  The leaders created a deep respectful and safe environment that allowed a transformation to take place in every woman who attended.  Amazing!  My deep heartfelt thanks to the team.

Pathways into Womanhood

The Pathways to Womanhood gave me a deeper connection with and understanding of my mother, as well as a new definition of trust, respect and openness.  I made new friends and connected with people I wouldn’t normally, and I am very grateful.  It was a truly memorable experience for all the right reasons.

- Evi (Young Woman)

Pathways to Manhood

The camp provided and opportunity to hear and learn about the diversity of experiences that comprises manhood.  Sharing of stories gives deep insight into human experience.  The boys/young men are lucky to be able to reflect on this assembled experience.

The weekend end away I spent with my boy was very precious.  Pathways created the opportunities, we played, laughed and connected, we made memories we’ll both have for a long time and laid the ground work for a positive father son relationship as we both grow older.  My second younger boy is now fired up about coming next year and I am looking forward to it too.

- Ian (Father)

Women’s Leadership Training

I came to this training not knowing what to expect but with a deep sense of trust that I would be safe, knowing I would get what I needed if I surrendered to the process and participated fully.  The training has been just wonderful, and I am left with a deep sense of gratitude and an open heart.  I have had many insights that I will take back into my life to become a much more effective leader.  Thank you.

Pathways to Manhood

For anybody thinking that this is for teens with issues I’d urge you to think again. Prior to the camp I had a well balanced son with lots of friends, well behaved and doing well at school. The camp was a great vehicle without becoming too deep or psychological, without becoming dry or boring but was fun and challenging. I spent time with my son that were the most present we’ve been with each other for a long time.  Can’t recommend it enough.

- Nigel (Father)

YoungSTARS

Activities and group sessions involved playing, interacting, problem solving, and  communicating together – was fun.  Sessions were designed to allow for reflection (your childhood experience and memories at the same age, and how my son and I recently and currently interact) and planning (moving forward into teenage years).  We loved our time together.

Men’s Leadership Training

The Pathways Leadership camp was a powerful reflective experience. It encourages you to consider how your actions impact on others, and I feel I now have the tools to be a much better leader in both my personal and professional life.  I highly recommend the course to anybody considering attending it.

Pathways into Womanhood

Pathways was a beautiful and illuminating experience for me and my daughter.  I thought that the entire week was exceptional and deeply valuable and a huge investment in our relationship, our family and her as an independent and capable young woman.

- Sophie (Young Woman)

Pathways to Manhood

The Pathways program has been a big turning point in our lives. At first my son Max, was very resistant to attend, however by the end of the camp he said “Dad it was the best thing I have ever done!”

This is the best gift you could ever give to your girl – and to yourself and your family and your community.  Every girl should be given this opportunity.

Pathways into Womanhood

I have never felt as supported and safe while exploring some of the most important and challenging aspects of life.

Pathways to Manhood

On the 7 hour trip home my son could not stop talking about the experience.  While he was not able to go into details of the challenges he experienced due to confidentiality there was no end to his sharing on the impact of the challenges on his sense of self. He did things he never thought possible and it had him thinking about life opportunities he had never considered before.  I believe he will draw on the Pathways experience for the rest of his life.

- Gina (Mother)

Women’s Leadership Training

I experienced equality, care and deep understanding. I felt that mine and everyone else’s diverse and unique gifts and strengths were recognised, and our challenges and difficulties honoured and used for individual and community growth.  Absolutely profound, enriching and transforming.  I am deeply grateful.

Pathways into Womanhood

PIW is a gift to our girls and to their mothers. It has been so beautiful and developmentally important to pause and teach her to pause in service of something far greater – her growth, her maturity, her developing mind, heart, body and how to navigate the big world out there using all that she has learnt these five days. Thank you so much!

- Maggie (Mother)

Pathways into Womanhood

A wonderful experience to reflect on my own childhood & relationships and consider what hasn’t served me; to consciously choose a new path to forge with my family.

- Lisa (Mother)

Pathways into Womanhood

I was given something, it’s now mine. It will always be with me and I get to share it with my daughter.

- Kate (Mother)

Pathways into Womanhood

I strongly believe that I had connected with my daughter in a way I had not been able to before. I feel like I can see her and hear her with new eyes and ears. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to see my daughter for who she really is.

- Sarah (Mother)

Pathways into Womanhood

My elderly parents are so impressed with what had taken place; they felt very important and so respected on the Return Day. They normally don’t go in for anything ‘different’, but they saw that Pathways is a very valuable program to attend with their parents/mentors. They are also filled with much hope at the importance being placed upon elders, the appreciation of their richness of knowledge and experience in the community. Huge thank you to all those involved.
